A rainy day can change the location of a walk without canceling it. The W.E. Hunt Recreation Center’s indoor track is free and open to the public, offering a local option when outdoor conditions make a familiar route less appealing.
The center is at 301 Stinson Avenue. The town says twelve laps equal one mile and permits jogging on the track. Anyone twelve or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Follow posted track directions and staff guidance so people moving at different paces can share the space comfortably.

Current facility hours are listed as 5 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Saturday and 1–6 p.m. Sunday; check holiday or maintenance notices before a special trip. The track’s free access should not be assumed to include other paid programs or fitness-center services.
For company, the town also lists a Thursday Senior Walking Club meeting in the lobby at 9 a.m., with no registration required. Whether joining others or walking independently, choose a comfortable amount of movement. Returning regularly can matter more than turning the first visit into a distance challenge.
